Spring 2026 FIREFIGHTER II

Service Description

The Litchfield County Regional Fire School offers Firefighter II in the spring of 2026. The Firefighter II course is designed to prepare the student for certification to the NFPA 1001, 2019 Edition. Some of the subjects covered include: -Pre-Incident Planning -Vehicle Extraction -Assisting Special Teams -RIT -Fire Prevention The course includes both the practical and written exam. Books are not included in this course as they are the same ones used for Firefighter I. If a student does need a book, then they can be purchased at the school's cost. This is a less physically demanding course than Firefighter I, but students should still be in good physical shape. Students are expected to attend all sessions. Below you will find the course schedule and the application. This is an in-person course and meets Tuesday/Thursday 1900-2200, and some Saturdays/Sundays 0800-1600.
